This Lundi Gras was the first time I had heard his proclamation so, desiring to be a good citzen of the realm of Mardi Gras, I donned the masked I made at Stephan Wanger’s studio – Galeria Allegria.

The masked riders are a feature of a number of the Mardi Gras parades and have beautiful, colored costumes and masks that cover their faces.

They are often the escorts of the Kings of Mardi Gras parades and will wait while the King of their parade toasts the mayor or other honorable folks.

The riders on the various floats wear their masks and costumes.
