Friday Night at Days of the Dead in Indianapolis

I just got back from spending some time at the Days of the Dead convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

When I arrived, Rowdy Roddy Piper was entertaining a packed audience with his stand up routine.  I saw him in the distance but I didn’t manage to catch him for a pic until he was leaving.

After Mr. Piper’s show ended I caught some pics of DJ Tre and his buddies from Crunk Energy drink.

They were passing around the baby face mask so you may not be able to tell who was who from the pics, but it was DJ Tre who was French Kissing the lovely Diva of the Dead.

I ran into Lawerance who I had previously met in Chicago at C2E2.  At C2E2 I had a photo session with him and a couple of lovely ladies.  Tonight at Days of the Dead we had a mini photosession with one of the kids that was with Actor/Writer/Producer Michael Trivisonno.

I do hope that, after they left, Michael warned the kids to not follow in Lawerance’s footsteps or they might make an ash of themselves.  I also ran into Jake Busey in passing but he declined to get his photo taken until tomorrow as he and his friends were on their way back to their rooms.  Tomorrow promises to be a busy day with lots of star power, exciting panels with Scream Queens and Masked Fiends, a Fangoria sponsored Horror Film Festival, tattoo and costume contests, a private party with the stars and finally culminating in the Ms. Dead Beauty Contest.

As far as the celebrites go, they all look great, but I am looking forward most to seeing William Katt and the Busey’s, John Tenney and his crew from Paranormal State: The New Class, Terrence Zdunich (I met him at the 2010 World Steam Expo – a nice man even if he does have a fondness for cockroaches!), Ron Fitzgerald (even though I will probably have to wait until Cyphan to see him perform!), Mike Holman, and, and, dangit!  All of them!

So come on down, wear your mask, show your tatts, meet some stars and join in the fun, if you dare…

(Otherwise, check back later for more and check out my Days of the Dead 2011 Photo Album!)
