Back in May 2011 over the Memorial Day weekend I was covering the World Steam Expo in Dearborn, Michigan. At the time I expressed my frustration and regret that I, being only one person, couldn’t adequately cover it. At the moment I am in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and I feel more confidence in covering Mardi Gras alone than the World Steam Expo as Mardi Gras is more linear with parades coming one after another while the World Steam Expo, though a comparitively small event, has things going on all over and simultaneously.
One of my regrets on covering the World Steam Expo was that I never had time to write about the group Sunday Driver.
Sunday Driver is a Steampunk band from England that plays beautiful music on a wide variety of instruments while wearing great costumes (they would fit right in here in New Orleans!)
I could go on about their music but they have a new video out for their latest album so just go ahead and experience it yourself!
The video was directed by Evelyn Kriete and edited by G.D. Falksen who are, in my book, the King and Queen of the U.S. Steampunk scene.
The music video presents a story of seductresses and a a stalwart soldier – ENJOY!

Any resemblance to the King John character is merely a coincidence.
