From the far north to the deep south, common themes were seen this weekend.
Santa stopped off for the Wyoming-Kentwood Santa Parade in Michigan and a visit with the children before heading south to join the Krewe of Jingle in New Orleans.
Santa enjoyed the company of children of all ages then flew merrily on his way.
While the children had the opportunity to give Santa their wish lists, not everyone had made their list and so many went to shows such as The Wizard World Comic Convention in New Orleans or The Grand Rapids Toy and Comic Expo where they could contemplate the wonders on display.
Others really didn’t have to contemplate, nor did they need a list.
The cosplayers in Michigan and New Orleans each celebrated in their own fashion and style.
In New Orleans Jarrett Crippen (AKA The Defuser) led the shows of the adult and childrens’ costume contests.

With his usual cheer and charm, Jarrett gracefully emboldened the cute cosplayers to brave the crowd and display their beautiful costumes.
While most costume contests have a prize for the top winner or two, Wizard World awarded prizes to all 53 entrants.
From north to south and from Christmas to cosplay Mr. Crippen and Mr. Claus remind us, its all about the kids!
