Fandom Fest 2013 is at the gate and ready to run in Louisville, Kentucky!

Perhaps the two biggest claims to fame for Louisville, Kentucky are The Louisville Slugger and the Kentucky Derby but for those who are less sports minded and geek out over more horror, science fiction, fantasy movies, comics, television shows and other media and genre, Louisville’s Fandom Fest takes the purse.

This year they are pulling out all the stops to bring the fans the biggest and best convention that Louisville has ever seen.  The celebrity line up is fantastic ranging from Marvel’s Stan Lee to Star Trek’s William Shatner to cast members form Stargate, X-Files, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and many others.

Artists, authors, actors, and other entertainment industry greats will be available for autographs, photo ops, and panels Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

While most events are for fans of all ages, there are some great special events in the evenings that are 18+ such as the Immortals Night Masquerade Ball, the Body Art Show, and Jay and Silent Bob’s Groovy Cartoon Movie Event.

Of course there will be a Cosplay/Costume Contest Saturday, lining up at for and going through 7 p.m. and gaming from table top, cards, and roleplaying, to video gaming will be happening all weekend.

So if you aren’t there yet, get on over to Louisville and meet me at the post for another fantastic Fandom Fest!
