Thee Bluebeard is a famous pirate captain from various ports including Chicago, Illinois.  During Her Royal Majesty’s Steampunk Symposium in Long Beach, California, Captain Bluebeard boarded the Queen Mary and led the symposium crew as he took over the events as Master of Ceremonies.

The Pirate Captain is a well known figure and can be found at renaissance festivals and steampunk events like Bristol Renaissance Faire and Detroit’s SteamTopia.  However the blue bearded gentleman entertains, amuses, and educates (well two out of three ain’t bad!) at many festivals and events across the United States.

In addition to being a hilariously entertaining speaker, the good pirate is also a true seaman, artist of murals and comics, an actor, and even more impressively, an interior designer.

He got into interior design after painting murals in people’s homes.  They would ask for his advice on arranging the room around the mural he had painted which led to him studying interior design.

One of his current, pet projects is his upcoming comic, “Adventures of Thee Bluebeard” which is going to be a webcomic and perhaps more.

While aboard the Queen Mary, Thee Bluebeard took time out for an interview with Lesley Scott of The Steampunk Soiree and The Weird Review.

Check out Thee Bluebeard’s site for a list of upcoming events and Part one and Part two of Lesley’s interview with Thee Bluebeard.
